I'm a fish out of water on many levels, I'm a Black-Metal Warhammer-Playing Rum-Drinking Guitar-playin' Cyclist Who Yells At The TV When The Nazi's (aka, the conservatives) Appear On The Lobotamy Box AND from All These Oddities, I'm Still A Fairly Sociable Bloke.

All Apologies

Tue Sep 29, 2009, 5:09 AM
Today is a brilliant day - Winter's Coming, I've Just Bought Halo 3:ODST (it isn't a game about STD's, by the way...) and this very weekend, I got absolutely BATTERED in a Mosh Pit... These are indeed fine days to be living!

But, I have an apology to make... As for as my work goes, whether it be musical or painted/photographed, I have a very ''take it or leave it'' policy on what I produce. I'm not much for shameless self advertising, but regarding my upcoming short film - I think I may have a slight hitch.

It turns out that I'll be unlikely able to post said film on this site... not because it lacks artistic merit, but simply 'cus it's about the lives of me and my bassist/girlfriend. Because it's got something to do with music, It may not get DA's approval - it's not that I'm sure it won't get through, and I actually whole-heartedly agree with DA's policy on film submissions, but - I'm not going to hazard the guess, and so the film Won't be posted on here.

Nevertheless... it WILL be posted on the band's Myspace profile... and because of this, I am apologizing in advance - For myspace has become, for the most, a big bucket of self promoters... come on, it's image is undoubtedly tainted.

STILL - My film will be released somewhere in December (maybe November, if I get my arse in gear!) and it will be a quirky yet artistic approach as to what we do/don't do as a band, how we got together/formed, what we do for fun (crossbows are our main prop here...) and absolutely NO MUSIC VIDEOS! ...Though a montage accompanied by drafts of our EP are obligatory.

This is KORTHKOR of KORTHKOROTH, or Warpvermine, or Fluffy - or WHATEVER you choose to call me by!

Like your DB. How do you do it? What kind of brush do you use? There is an awesome stone effect.

Drybrushing's the one technique that's kept me painting such ridiculously vast armies for the last couple of years, fair doos - Probably because it's so easy. All I do is use a fairly stubby brush that's relatively soft, and then simply drybrush it. I'm sorry I don't have a more descriptive way to put it across to you!

One technique that my girlfriend came up with was this kind of mass-blending, she used it on her wraithlord and her Khornate Hellhammer for best example. To do that, she just drybrushed and blended over a large area... simple as, really.

I have used DB at my early works and now I see, I have to change my brush. It produces some kind of paint dust...
And I thought this mass-blending was made by an airbrush. It is marvellous. So, gradient drybrush and?... a massive liquid layering?

Thanks for the fave amigo. And rock on Dark Eldar. I'm mainly a fantasy player over 40k but I mainly play Dark Elves which I guess are just the fantasy equivelant. =P

Really? That's good to hear, and though I've never gotten into fantasy, I still find it interesting.

I'll be checking out your profile/writings now...

Honestly Dark Elves are alot of fun. From what I have read they are actually a great deal more detailed than Dark Eldar seeing as Games Workshop has neglected the Dark Eldar for a long time, which is a damn shame.

I think Dark Elf popularity went up when the Malus Darkblade books came out.

I've read a lot of games workshop's codex's, and the stories in them have always interested me - The imagery they put across is far better than anything I've seen in a picture - But I've never gotten into the books, probably 'cus many of them were too human-centered.

As for Dark Eldar - many of the models are terribly out-dated, and many of their rules are very primative (though I can't complain because I won a tremendous victory with them yesterday!).
